Solid state hdd are very good and speedy, they have their down sides too where as mechanical sata dose not etc. Satas last longer in long run, solid states burn out more quickly in long run. Solid state has small chips on the chip-set mother board, when they burn out, hard drive and data gradually goes with whole thing.
In fact I would suggest buying miniature cooling fans for solid states eventually as they over heat very quickly too.
That what kill them more F A S T over mechanical hard drives.
Sometimes size and convenience is not always what it cracked up to be.
Just because it new on shelves dose not make it out to be superior or better always.
Many always over look this.
Muh advice in electronics world is do research before you P O U R your money into things you know nothing about.
New dose not always mean better.
Yes! They are fancy, new, more top line, they have their down sides too of dying off much more quickly in long term results.
